There’s no standing still for Coster as this month they launch their new actuator – Crystal.

Designed for anti-perspirant and deodorant products, Crystal has a 35mm diameter and a new transparent finish. This clever component can be fitted with a micro mist insert to suit any types of spray pattern required. Plus it has an integral tamper tag for safety.

Crystal’s clear, striking look will make your product stand out on the shelf. And to give it extra kudos, Crystal is eco-friendly. It only needs a thin wall moulding and it doesn’t need an extra over cap, which saves on the quantity of plastic needed to produce it. All in all it’s the perfect solution for body sprays and sport products.

Coster’s developed a new ergonomic spray cap equipped with an innovative diffusion system for a leading deodorant company.

The special design features Coster’s new sliding lock mechanism, which lets the consumer lock the product shut with a simple finger slide. The lock can be used as a finger-depressed actuator, which gives brand managers the confidence that their product will not leak when in their customer’s bags.

This is a cutting-edge development for Coster and suitable for Ø 45mm aluminium cans. It uses a standard antiperspirant insert, which can be colour-branded, and the new spray features two channels which separate during the spray phase. This gives a more effective application of the product.

Exhibiting and networking is important to Coster. That’s where we get to meet our clients and form partnerships with new customers.

In September, Coster exhibited at the 27th FEA Aerosol Congress held in Rome. It was an excellent opportunity for us to showcase our products and network with clients and suppliers from the world or aerosols.

On 16-17 February 2011, we’re off to Birmingham for the easyFairs Packaging Innovations exhibition where we’ll be meeting brand managers to come up with inspiration and solutions to make their product stand out on the shelves. Coster is on stand B30 so come along and find out more about what we can do for your product.

Being a member of The British Aerosol Manufacturers’ Association (BAMA) is a key part of Coster’s commitment to delivering quality and innovative products to its clients.

BAMA is the Government body that represents the aerosol supply chain. As part of our membership we benefit from a range of business support and advice services. So rest assured that we’re fully up to speed on industry developments and we’ll pass on our expertise to you.

Coster ensures it provides the vital dust-free working environment that’s needed to produce premium-quality components for its pharmaceutical clients. To guarantee this we’ve implemented an ISO 8 in our Operational Clean Room where specific pharmaceutical components are manufactured.

Here, Coster produces its valves, actuators and components in the accordance with ISO 15378:2006. This is an international certification which covers ISO 9001 procedures and cGMP guidelines to ensure we meet the strictest pharmaceutical regulations.

Coster announces the appointment of Barry Strange as Laboratory Supervisor. Barry joined Coster after spending eighteen years at Proctor & Gamble, firstly working across their aerosol portfolio before working on scale production services.

With a wealth of experience and a BSc in Chemistry, Barry is a fantastic new addition to the Coster team. His role here is to manage all aspects of the Innovations Lab, including sampling, filling and testing our components. Barry will also be providing product recommendations and project management support to our customers.

Coster has taken on a new Technical Sales Representative to join its commercial team. James Ashford spent three years in sales at Toyota, before joining Coster.

James looks after the small and medium business accounts in Coster’s automotive sector. He also provides day to day account management for the personal care and food and beverage divisions.
